Book Review #5: Cinta untuk Disewa by Lynn Dayana

I pick this book because I had stuck reading Losing Hope. Maybe its because I've expect what will happened because this is Will's POV but I hope it still has an element of surprise like in This Girl. Another reason I read this book because the author is famous for her romantic and cheesy lines. Want some fun book. :D

After four months I've pick a Malay book, so this is my review.

Synopsis

Hei, ini doktor cintalah! Doktor cinta yang menyewa cintanya untuk mereka yang buntu dalam menilai rasa. Itulah Anis Sofea. Namun, bila cinta mula bertandang di hati, dia kibar bendera putih. Dia menjadi doktor cinta yang gagal.

Pertama; Anis jatuh cinta pada Iskandar, sahabat baiknya. Tapi... cintanya tidak berbalas, malah terus terpendam. Parah!

Kedua; Hatinya terpaut pada Kamarul Bahrain. “He is amazing!” Tapi sayang, Kamal lelaki yang sudah berhenti percaya pada cinta.

Ketiga; Ashraf Hadi, lelaki paling cerewet yang pernah Anis jumpa. Kamal kata, Ashraf itu sesuai untuk dirinya. Gila apa? Ashraf itu karbon dioksida, bukan oksigen!

Susahnya mahu menggapai makna bahagia. Namun, janji ALLAH... manusia diciptakan berpasang-pasangan. Jangan sesekali mudah mengalah.

A story about Anis, a girl who loves besides herself. Sacrifice anything for her friends's sake and her clients. She works as an editor and also, a love expert. She loves her best friend, Iskandar but it was one sided love kind. Then, she met Kamarul or KB. Both of them has unique kind of way which makes them attracted to each other. However, one of her clients who asked her help about Kamarul makes Anis once again hide her true feelings. Ashraf, another person who makes Anis life in chaos as he always besides her even she didn't like him and wants someone else. In the end, she found her true love. "Choose someone who loves you."

When you read Lynn Dayana's books, be careful who you choose to be the hero. I have one case with this author that I cried a lot because unexpected turn of events in Jika Benar Cinta. This time around, I like KB at the middle of the story but I feel something awful will happen. I accidentally saw who will Anis choose in Goodreads and makes me down for a bit. I trust this author why she choose this guy so I continue reading it.

I sympathize with Anis's story because she loves two guys who can't love her back ; her best friend who loves someone else and a guy who loves her but can't accept her. After many obstacles happen to her, Anis fed up with herself and she fight for her love, truly. Anis has the right to choose the right guy who can brought her till Jannah. But God has another plan for her. Kak Lynn Dayana, thank you for giving her the man she deserves. :')

Another key point to this story is friendship. Anis is a lucky girl who has four best friends who wish her for her happiness. Especially Jenny, Iskandar's twin sister. My favorite part was when Anis's emotional breakdown on her love life, Jenny stay beside her, comforting Anis. "True friendship comes when the silence between two people is comfortable." Oh! This is not a fun book but emotional journey.

A piece of my mind but can be a spoiler ;) -> Kamarul reminds me of John Willoughby from Sense & Sensibility.

End note: Fight for your love and never give up. "Losers are people who are so afraid of not winning they don't even try." ⋆⋆⋆⋆
