~For someone who dislike reading long post, please stay away from this post. I totally like this movie so, incoming this warning. ~
I kept my hopes for this movie a bit down before watching it last evening (18 Feb).. The reason is Jupiter Ascending. But, my thought was so wrong. This movie was superbbbb! Fantastic!! Exhilarating!!! The plot was my favorite kind. The casts was better. And so much more.. Right now, this is my 2015 favorite movie.. but still waiting for Avengers 2. :D
I was thoroughly enjoyed! It has many aspects that can be a blockbuster movie. First thought when I watched it was Ender's Game. There is a scene that will remind of you of that. ;) This movie was classy style of James Bond but this time, it's in UK. I've watch normal British movies such as Pride & Prejudice, Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging and etc but never a British kind spy type. It's really hard to understand British movies. Their dialogue was totally different than the Americans. This quote from Valentine, the villain, covered up my thoughts on this topic. *smile widely*
"I have trouble understanding you people sometimes. You all.. talk so funny."
As a standard spy movie, it involves violence. Graphical violent scenes. Seriously. I totally forgot that the director not just direct X-Men First Class, he also directs Kick-Ass. So, I was totally surprise and shocked when watch those scenes because I am a person who dislikes blood. This is where 5 stars lose half a point. Sorry.. but it didn't effect me to enjoy it. 5 things (another one will be explained in another paragraph) :
* The plot will make you feel cliche but the whole turnover was good!
* The nicknames of the Kingsman concept was brilliant. Use legendary leaders name; Merlin, Lancelot, Arthur and Galahad.
* Hilarious and entertaining. The first time I watch a British movie that has a lot of cussing words.
* I love the setting because it happens in UK and The Kingsman closet was gorgeous even it has a lot of weapons. ;)
Colin Firth and Taron Egerton was mesmerizing. *with googly eyes* I love both of them. I still can't believe Mr Darcy can be so handsome and dashing even he is 54 years old. ^ The art of makeup. He was a gem in this movie. My favorite scene of him was expected.. the church scene. That scene was funny and horror. The whole cinema was laughing at that scene. :D Taron Egerton or Eggsy... Okay, he was dreamy for me. I've never saw him act and I was surprised by it. He was my second favorite thing in this movie. The last scene was my favorite scenes of him. The makeover was stunning! ;) So Kingsmannnn! :)
Other casts too also perfect. Villains was so badass especially Gazelle!, candidates superb as Roxy the sole woman in Kingsman and the Kingsman organization smart in style (Merlin, Harry, Arthur). I'm looking forward for Eggsy, Gazelle and Roxy because this is the first time I saw them act and it was worth it to watch them. Another point to add, the soundtrack. It has a vibe of X-Men films and smart and classy style. Awesome!!
Overall, Kingsman: The Secret Service is a movie that can be hilarious but terrifying, adventurous but bloody badass and in the end, you will not be disappointed. Enjoy and please watch it!!
